Google has announced the funding of 100,000 online scholarships; With certificates in the fields of data analysis, project management, and user experience design. These programs were prepared by Google employees, and will be taught on online learning platforms such as the "Coursera" platform, and can be completed within 3 to 6 months.

Google has stated that it considers these certificates equivalent to a 4-year college degree in positions related to these majors in the company. It announced that there is no material return to the company for these programs, other than the simple cost of $ 49 for the Coursera platform only. The announcement came after high unemployment in the United States due to the Coronavirus, and the loss of many jobs around the world.

Google explained that these specialties are among the most required jobs in the coming days, as they achieve a high job level and a great income for its practitioners. The primary goal of these programs is to enable people who do not have a university degree in these disciplines to learn and develop the skills required to practice these professions.

It is mentioned that this is not the first time that Google offers certificates and courses in certain specialties. In 2018, it launched the Information Technology (IT) major, also on the Coursera platform, and according to Google statistics, 58% of the applicants for this specialization were women and people who suffer from a lack of services in their countries, and 45% have an income of less than 30 One thousand dollars a year.

It also announced that 80% of the applicants said that this specialization helped them to get a new job, start their own business, or get a promotion in their current job.
