10,000 Fans to Attend Egyptian Super Cup

The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) has permitted 10,000 fans to attend the Egyptian Super Cup between Al Ahly and Zamalek at Borg Al- Arab stadium.

"EFA's announcement came after getting the security approval as the EFA is keen to see fans returning to stadiums again," EFA's spokesman Osama Ismail told SEE.

On Tuesday, September 10, the EFA's normalization Committee, headed by Amr El-Ganaini, decided to hold the Super Cup match between the Red Devils and the White Knights on Friday, September 20 at 20:00 CLT.

The Super Cup is held between the Egyptian League and Egypt Cup winners. This edition of the Super Cup is for the 2017-18 season as the Red Devils claimed the Egyptian Premier League title, while the Whites scooped the Egypt Cup trophy.

For the 2018-19 season, Al Ahly won their fourth Egyptian Premier League title in a row and their 41st domestic trophy overall, while the Zamalek claimed their second Egypt Cup title in a row and their 27th domestic trophy overall after defeating Pyramids on Sunday at Borg Al Arab stadium (3-0).

Zamalek head coach Milutin Sredojević "Micho" is looking forward tohis second title with the White Knights since he was appointed in August, while Al Ahly's new head coach Rene Weiler are looking forward to achieving his first title with the Red Devils.
