Chico, an 11-month-old Brussels Griffon, is taking UK's social media by storm with his permanent scowl. The pint-sized pooch appeared with grumpy expression because of a wonky underbite.

Chico's owner Belle Evans loves to dress him up in cute outfits and hats and shared it on social media, which featured him looking hilariously miserable in dozens of photos —who she insists that he is a happy, contented, and loving pup.

Chico was a hit on her social media accounts where she has gained more than 9,300 followers on Instagram and over 4,000 on Facebook.

"I fell in love with Chico the moment I saw the tiny 8lb pup. The first thing I noticed without a doubt was his crooked mouth. I could tell his jaw was somewhat off-center, " Evans pointed out.

She continued: "My favorite look is when he squints his eyes, along with his crooked mouth, makes me laugh every time."

Why do we love grumpy animals?

Science explained in 2015 our love for grumpy animals, which is due to our brains' natural tendency to seek out novelty, as well as big eyes.

They pointed out that it comes down to eye contact, nurturing, and a need for variety.

A Grumpy Cat that passed away last year of Urinary tract infection at seven was an American Internet celebrity cat.

She appeared on everything from mugs to the movie “Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever” (2014); she even was a hit among the celebrities.

Many celebrities had taken photos with her including, Jennifer Lopez, Stan Lee, Andrew Lincoln, and others.
