Breaking: Mass Fire Erupts on Floating Boat at Zamalek Corniche (Photos+Video)

A mass fire erupted in one of the celebrated touristic and entertaining floating boats at Zamalek Corniche, several media agencies reported a few moments ago.

Cairo authorities received a report that massive flames broke out inside a tourist floating boat called Omar Elkhayam near Zamalek Corniche. So, the authorities sent several civil defense and fire fighting troops to the scene of the accident to put off the fire.

The deployed troops are attempting to control the fire. However, there is no casualties reported until now.

In the same context, Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal, and several officials inspected the scene of the accident in Zamalek.

Therefore, Abdel Aal ordered forming a senior committee to investigate the motives of the fire, in addition, it will review the application of safety and operating rules by the boat's operators.

Until now, no official source provided any information about the reason for the fire, but media reports cited eyewitnesses said that the main reason for the fire is an error related to the electricity.

In the past few summers, Egypt see various fires at several spots due to the phenomenal rise of temperature and humidity.
