CAIRO,

Feb. 23 (SEE)- The Tokyo Olympic Games and the

electronic security Japanese minister Yoshitaka Sakurada apologized for his

delay to attend a parliamentary meeting for three minutes.

In return, parliament members considered that Sakurada wasn't respecting his position and they boycotted a meeting of the budget committee for 5 hours. Sakurada was criticized as he has a lot of repetitive errors.

The minister

said last week that he was frustrated because of the rising swimmer Ricko Ike

was diagnosed with cancer. He said "Ike was nominated to get the golden

medal at Tokyo Olympic Games 2020, as she is the kind of athletes that we can

hang our hopes on. I'm very disappointed."

This

statement faced many criticism and forced him to apologize.

Sakurada said

that he never uses computers, but he always delegates this to his subordinate.

On the other

hand, there were several oppositions who are demanding Sakurada's resignation.

In the

Japanese culture, being late for a meeting is not a big deal, but the

opposition took advantage of this incident to highlight Sakurada's mistakes.

According to

a survey made by the Japanese newspaper Asahi Shimbun this week, 65% said he is

incompetent for this job while 13% said he is competent.

Sakurada was

appointed to his post last October and his duties include supervising the

preparations of cyberspace defense at Tokyo Olympic Games 2020.
