Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa on Wednesday received his first dose of China's Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine in the resort town of Victoria Falls.
"I just received my COVID-19 Vaccine," Zimbabwean President tweeted.
"Zimbabweans - the vaccine is safe and effective. I urge you all to get your jab," he added.

Zimbabwe launched the first phase of the national COVID-19 vaccination program on Feb. 18.
The first phase targeted frontline health workers, journalists, the prison population as well as ports and immigration officials, the second phase now targets teachers, the clergy, members of the security sector, the elderly, and people with chronic conditions, among other priority groups, according to Xinhua.
