CAIRO, Feb. 6 (SEE) - Zewail City of Science and Technology signed a cooperation protocol with the International company Cisco to establish Cisco Academy specialized in the following training fields: software and network sciences, cybersecurity, and internet of things.
The protocol was signed in the
presence of the Zewil University’s Dean for Companies and Business Development Ashraf
Badawi and Cisco’s Director of institutional Relations in Europe, Middle East, Africa,
and Russia Pioter Blota.
In this regard, Badawi expressed,
“Through this cooperation and utilizing the modernist devices Zewail City aims
at developing youth skills and providing them with scientific training, to
bridge the gap that the Egyptian market suffers.”
As Zewil University is playing an important role in the community
service, the program, offered by the
protocol, is available for all students including the ones who are still studying
and the graduated, registered at Zewil University or not.
On his side, Blota mentioned, “I am very delighted with this protocol,”
adding that, “The program was applied worldwide as Cisco’s international vision
focuses on creating a link between academic studies and developing youth skills
through a practical training.”
“The program was applied in more than 180 countries and it is very
important to implement in Egypt.”
Statistics show that Cisco internationally assisted almost two million
students in 2018, through its academic programs. Throughout the past twenty
years, the company’s programs benefited more than ten millions, out of whom 100
persons were Egyptians.
