Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has urgently called on foreign allies to provide additional air defense assistance following a week marked by more than 900 bombings.
The intense bombardment has raised concerns about the deteriorating security situation in Ukraine.
In a recent statement, Zelensky highlighted the scale of the attacks, noting that Russia had launched over 50 drones in one night alone, and during the past week, had deployed more than 900 bombs, around 30 missiles, and about 500 Shahed drones targeting various regions across Ukraine.
He stressed that the majority of these assaults were directed at critical civilian infrastructure.
Zelensky took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to express that these attacks would have been largely impossible had Ukraine received sufficient support from the global community.
He underscored the need for vital capabilities, including long-range security systems and effective sanctions to hinder Russia's ability to import essential components for drone and missile production, particularly advanced electronics.
He further emphasized the importance of decisive political actions that could undermine Russia's resolve to continue its aggression.
