Egypt's Zamalek has announced that they have resolved all the cases that led FIFA to impose a transfer ban on them.

The sports club based in Cairo said in a statement that they have successfully paid the dues owed to Sporting Lisbon for the transfer of their captain Mahmoud 'Shikaballa' Abdel-Razek back in 2015, as well as outstanding dues to former Ghanaian player Benjamin Acheampong and the club of Beninese forward Samson Akinyoola.

The club has received an official letter from FIFA confirming the lifting of the transfer ban.

The transfer ban had prevented Zamalek from making any summer signings, which was a major setback for the club following a disappointing season that saw them finish in third place in the domestic league.

Zamalek is currently in 12th place in the league table, with 11 points from eight matches, trailing leaders ZED FC by eight points, who have played two more matches.
