Zahi Hawass to Lecture in Dubai

Today, renowned Egyptologist Dr. Zahi Hawass will head to Dubai for instructing several lectures about the latest archaeological discoveries in Saqqara, in addition to promoting tourism in Egypt.

Hawass will meet Al Shaikh Mana Al Maktoum who Hawass named him as Dubai’s pharaoh due to his passion towards Egyptology and Ancient Egyptian history.

Also, Al Maktoum has constructed a hotel shaped as an obelisk, and attaching it with several statues to King Ramses II. This hotel is one of the most popular spots in Dubai.

During the tour, the Egyptologist will gift Al Maktoum a copy of his most valuable books about King Tutankhamun appreciating Al Maktoum’s efforts in introducing Ancient Egyptian history in Dubai.

The book includes the story of unearthing Tutankhamun’s tomb, in addition to breathtaking photos for the tomb and its antiquities captured by Italian photographer Sandro Vannini.
