'Youm Lel Setat' to Be Screened at Menarat Film Festival in Tunisia

Egyptian superstar Elham Shahin said that the film of 'Youm Lel Setat' (A Day for Women) will be screened at Menarat Film Festival in Tunisia on Wednesday.

'Youm Lel Setat' has won seven awards at international festivals.

It won seven awards from international festivals, where he participated in the official competition of the Cairo International Film Festival where the premiere of the film debuted in the Arab world.

Actress Nahed Al-Sibai won the Best Actress Award.

The movie won the Audience Award at the Arab Film Festival Rotterdam, award of The International Film Festival of Iraq and award of the Best Music Award.

It also gained the Third Production Award from the National Festival of Egyptian Cinema and was granted the Best Long Film from the Verona Film Festival.

Super star actresses Elham Shahin, Nelly Karim and Nahed Sibai also won the award of Kazan International Festival of Islamic Cinema, held in the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation.

The film premiered at the 60th edition of the London Film Festival of the British Film Institute under Debate Strand.

Youm Lel Setat competed at the International Film Festival in Montreal, in addition to competing in the Beirut International Women's Film Festival. It also opened the first edition of the Beirut International Women's Film Festival.

The movie was screened at the Luxor Festival of African Cinema as well as participated in the Cape Town International Film Festival and the Arab Scenes Festival in Washington.

The story of Youm Lel Setat is in a popular neighborhood in Cairo, where the youth center is dedicated to a special day for the women of the neighborhood in the swimming pool. As women and girls turn to the swimming pool, a series of events change their perception of themselves and of their whole life.
