Yemen, UK Discuss Bilateral Relations

Yemeni Prime Minister (PM) Dr. Maeen Abdulmalik and UK Ambassador to Yemen, Richard Oppenheim discussed bilateral relations between both countries.

They also discussed the latest developments on the national, regional and international scene of common interest.

The meeting also discussed the British support needed to improve the Yemeni economy and support the government's efforts to continue implementing reforms and alleviate the humanitarian suffering "created by the Houthis."

For his part, Yemeni PM reviewed the challenges facing the government in the economic, financial and service aspects, and what the government is doing to address them and the reforms that are being worked on, as well as the importance of international support for the government's efforts to maintain economic stability.

In turn, the British ambassador reiterated her country's position in supporting the Yemeni government and its efforts to maintain economic stability and implement general reforms, pointing out to the government's efforts; despite the challenges and difficult circumstances.
