Egyptian actress Yasmin Raeis and director Hadi El Bagoury have split up after a 12 year marriage.
Raeis announced Tuesday on Twitter the news and wished him success in his new life.

The split comes after El Bagoury came under fire on social media over his statements about accepting if his wife was offered to take part in romantic scenes of an artistic work.
The former couple met in 2010 during filming TV series "Ard Khas" (Special Show).
They tied the knot after a love story that lasted for three years. The marriage resulted in their only son, Salim.
