The 37th edition of the annual event witnessed the presence of the audience at the venue. The event became the first live WWE event that saw the comeback of the WWE Universe to the theaters once again.
Therefore, WWE Founder and Chairman Vince McMahon delivered a warm speech welcoming WWE lovers and fans in an epic night of one of the biggest events in the world of sports and entertainment.
McMahom was accompanied by top WWE figures, stars, and WWE Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon, and her husband WWE legend Triple H, the Executive Vice President of Global Talent Strategy & Development for WWE.
Unfortunately, the event was delayed for almost an hour due to a storm hit Tampa Bay; it affected the recent-customized theater at Raymond James Stadium. Shortly, the event was resumed again, but holding the matches delayed until rain stopped.

The event carried a special tribute to the newly inducted WWE superstars to the WWE Hall of Fame such as the "nWo" stars including Hulk Hogan and Kevin Nash, WWE Divas the Bella Twins, and WWE legend JBL.
The schedule of the first night of the event carried seven matches, two of them were Divas matches, one Steel Cage match, and two contests for championships.
The first match was for the WWE championship between the Mighty Bobby Lashely, the Champion, and the Scottish Warrior Drew McIntyre. Lashely managed to keep his title after defeating McIntyre.
The following contest was Women's Tag Team Turmoil for selecting a No.1 contender for the Divas Tag Team Championships.

Four Divas tag teams participated in the match: Lana and Naomi, Billie Kay and Carmella, The Riott Squad, and Natalya and Tamina. The winners were Natalya and Tamina, and they will face Nia Jax, and Shayna Baszler for the titles at the event's second night.
Next, Cesaro defeated Seth Rollins and gained his first ever WrestleMania victory in a single match. The match was one of the top rated segments of the event.
