World leaders offered condolences on Tuesday over the death of Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, who passed earlier today. He was 91 and ruled the country for nearly 15 years.
Egypt
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi mourned with great sorrow the demise of the Kuwaiti Emir, saying that the Arab and Muslim worlds lost one of their prominent leaders.
Sisi also offered his sincere condolences to the Kuwaiti government and people, announcing a three-day mourning period nationwide.

The United States
US President expressed his sorrow over the death of the Kuwaiti ruler, saying: "I am deeply saddened by the passing of my dear friend, His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. Melania and I send our sincere condolences to the people of Kuwait."
Trump described him as an unwavering friend and partner to the United States, the White House said in a statement.

Jordan
Jordan's King Abdullah II mourned the passing away of the Kuwaiti emir.
"Today we lost a big brother and a wise leader who loved Jordan, His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad, May God bless his soul. He was an exceptional leader and an Emir of humanity and morals, who devoted his life to the service of his country and the Arab nation. Through his benevolent endeavors, he never ceased to make every effort to unite Arab ranks. We console ourselves and the brotherly Kuwaiti people over this tragic loss," the King wrote on his Twitter account.
Meanwhile, the Royal Hashemite Court announced 40 days of mourning over Sheikh Sabah’s passing, as of Tuesday.
The Royal Hashemite Court expressed the deepest sympathies of King Abdullah and the people of Jordan, as they stand with the people of Kuwait in these difficult times.

The UAE
UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan mourned with great sadness and sorrow the death of the emir of Kuwait.
The Ministry of Presidential Affairs said that the UAE has lost one of the most prominent leaders from the Arab and Islamic nations who made huge contributions to his people and nation and defended pan-Arab and Islamic causes sincerely and loyally.
Sheikh Sabah was one of the pioneers of the joint GCC action, along with fellow GCC leaders, who enhanced the GCC journey, the ministry noted
"We extend our heartfelt condolences to Al-Sabah family and the people of Kuwait. We emphasize our full confidence in the farsightedness, fortitude, and the ability of the people of the State of Kuwait and their wise leadership to complete the triumphant journey of the late Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad in serving the nation and advancing the course of joint Arab action," it added.
The UAE president highlighted Sheikh Sabah's virtues in the humanitarian work field and his efforts in mending fences among brothers.

"He worked tirelessly to solidify Arab ranks and enhance their cohesion," the president said, stressing that the Arab and Islamic nations have lost a great man and a historical leader that did not hesitate to serve the issues of their nation until the last moment of his life.
At the directives of Sheikh Khalifa, the UAE will observe a three-day state mourning with the flag flown at half-mast at all official departments, embassies, and UAE's diplomatic missions outside the country.
Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia’s King Salman called Kuwait’s new Emir Sheikh Nawaf al-Ahmad al-Sabah to express his condolences on the death of the late Emir Sheikh Sabah, according to a statement published by the Saudi Press Agency.

“We have lost a dear brother and a leader who devoted his life to the service of his homeland, Arab and Islamic nations. He won a distinguished position and appreciation among the leaders and peoples of the world," King Salman said.
