The White House decided to cancel a high-level meeting between the United States and Israel regarding Iran, Axios reported.
The meeting was scheduled to be held tomorrow, Thursday, but it was cancelled after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu published a video in which he was claiming the U.S. was withholding military aid, two U.S. officials told Axios.
The White House openly expressed its astonishment, and press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre noted that only one shipment of weapons had been paused since the war began, while billions of dollars of weapons had flowed unimpeded. "We genuinely do not know what he is talking about," she said.
Axios quoted a US official as saying that privately, the Biden team was angry and shocked by Netanyahu's "ingratitude."
