WhatsApp is testing a new solution for Android users that will automatically reduce the notifications on its users.
WABetaInfo reported that the platform released a new beta version (2.22.23.9) for its Android app that will automatically mute groups with more than 256 people by default. This will happen when the number of participants in a group exceeds 256.
Earlier this month, WhatsApp disabled the "view-once" feature for desktop users. The feature is important for those wanting to share an image or a video that can be viewed only once and disappears after that.
However, WhatsApp realizes that people cannot be stopped from taking screenshots or screen recording such content, which makes it a privacy concern.
In addition, the report noted that WhatsApp has already removed the ability to send or view these messages on the desktop from 1 November 2022.
