Egyptian scriptwriter Salah El Gehiny shared Wednesday an update about the long-awaited film "Welad Rizk 3" (Sons of Rizk).
El Gehiny shared on Instagram that he began penning the third installment, adding: "Forget everything you know about Welad Rizk and start from the beginning, but don't ever don't let any of them get inside your head."

In December, El Gehiny shared his hopes of shooting the "Welad Rizk" spin-off film "Al-Shayeb" (The King).
The film was first announced in 2019 in the post-credit scene of "Welad Rizk 2".
“I have an ambition that the film to be shot and released in cinemas before it -Welad Rizk - according to the initial plan.”
The announcement comes after Ahmed El Fishawy shared a video from behind the scenes of the project.
"Welad Rizk" premiered in 2015 and is created by El Gehiny and directed by Tarek Alarian.
It starred Ahmed Ezz, Amr Youssef, Ahmed Dawood, Karim Qassem, Mohamed Mamdouh, and El Fishawy.
"Welad Rizk 3" is set to premiere sometime later in 2024.
