The World Bank (WB) announced its recommendations of granting Palestine $ 80 million for relieving the economic impact of COVID-19, and the latest Gaza attacks that took place a few months ago, RT reported on Friday.

It said in a statement that WB's board recommended granting Palestine a package of $ 80 million for supporting the living conditions in the Gaza strip.

The package will be sent to Palestinian people through the concerned fund dedicated to supporting residents in the West Bank and Gaza.

In addition, the package will help in funding the necessary social protection measures by providing the required money for employing the poor.

Moreover, the grant will back the rising technological and information technology enterprises, and energy projects.

Finally, the WB highlighted that it will coordinate with the Palestinian authorities in framing policies related to governance, women's empowerment, investment, and climate change.
