US announced that it will support the efforts of United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to revive the black sea grain deal.
The US State Department spokesman, Ned Price, expressed Washington's gratitude to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, noting that the UN "played an important role in coordinating this initiative."
"We intend to do everything we can to support the Secretary-General in all possible ways as he continues to work on resuming this initiative on cereals and ensuring its longevity," he added.
Moreover, Price expressed Washington's regret for Russia's decision to suspend participation in the grain deal, saying that this "negatively affects food security in the world, Russia should return to full participation in this initiative."
