Warner Bros. dropped Thursday a new trailer for Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune”.

“Dune” features a star-studded cast that includes Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Sharon Duncan Brewster, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Chang Chen, David Dastmalchian, Charlotte Rampling, Jason Momoa, and Javier Bardem.

It is adapted from Frank Herbert’s seminal science fiction bestseller of the same name, and centers around Paul Atreides (Chalamet), a scion of the noble House of Atreides that is tasked with overseeing the barren desert planet Arrakis, known as Dune.

Itching to get back to the cinema?

The new trailer features Chalamet as a rising Paul Atreides, the nascent savior of the galaxy and messiah of the Fremen.

The footage also provides the audience with a closer look at Dune’s villains, which includes Stellan Skarsgård as Baron Vladimir Harkonnen, a man so fully morally bankrupt that he doesn’t even deign to walk, opting to have levitating bands attached to his own flesh so he can just float around like a horrible balloon.

“Dune” also arrives from Legendary Pictures with Mary Parent, Denis Villeneuve, Cale Boyter, and Joe Caracciolo, Jr. producing the production and with Tanya Lapointe, Joshua Grode, Herbert W. Gains, Jon Spaihts, Thomas Tull, Brian Herbert, Byron Merritt, and Kim Herbert, serving as executive producers.

The sci-fi adventure movie is also set to world premiere at the 78th Venice Film Festival, which is scheduled to take place from 1-11 September.

“Dune” is set to debut simultaneously in theaters and on HBO Max in 3D and Imax formats on October 22.
