Walid Regragui coach of the Moroccan national team expressed his regret over the loss of the "Atlas Lions" against Croatia 1-2 in the match that brought them together on Saturday, to determine the third and fourth places in the World Cup in Qatar.

"It's a bitter loss, but I think it's well deserved," Regragui told BeiN Sports after the match. "We saw a team that didn't give up."

He added, "We will remember many matches, and we will come back stronger. We united our country for a month, and everyone was happy."

With this victory, Croatia ranked third in the World Cup in Qatar and won the bronze medal, while the Moroccan team settled for fourth place, which is the best position in the history of Arab and African football.

This is the second time that Croatia has finished third after 1998, while it won the runner-up four years ago in Russia by reaching the final.

France, the title holder will play Argentina on Sunday to determine the Qatar World Cup champion.
