Veteran Egypt's TV presenter Houda Shabana passed away late last night, her nephew Omar Mohamed announced. The cause of the death hasn't yet been revealed.
Shabana’s funeral will take place after the noon prayer at ElMatafy Mosque in Ismailia province.
Throughout her career, she featured in many social TV programs and brought many well-known names to Egyptian TV.
The late TV anchor trained a number of renowned anchors and gave them the opportunity to enter Maspero in her heydays, according to her colleagues.
She was a news broadcast presenter well known also for hosting “Awl Elnhar”( Early Morning), for more than two decades.
