Venezuelan Interior Minister Diosdado Cabello announced that the U.S. attack on Caracas, during which President Nicolás Maduro was apprehended, resulted in the deaths of 100 people.
"So far, there are 100 dead and an equal number of wounded. The attack on our country was horrific," Cabello said during his weekly program broadcast on state television.
The minister added: "The President's wife suffered a head injury and was struck on her body, while Nicolás was injured in his leg. Fortunately, they are both recovering from their injuries."
While there is no official death toll yet, AFP has confirmed the deaths of at least one civilian, a member of the armed militias, 23 Venezuelan soldiers, and 32 Cuban soldiers.
