Venezuelan Foreign Minister (FM) Iván Gil Pinto commended Egypt for its support of Venezuela on the international stage during a meeting with Egyptian Ambassador Karim Amin in Caracas.
The minister also highlighted Egypt’s participation in the recent BRICS+ summit held in Russia, reflecting the strong partnership between the two nations.
Additionally, Pinto reaffirmed Venezuela's steadfast support for Arab and Palestinian rights, a cornerstone of the country's foreign policy, while expressing hope for the restoration of peace in the region.
Ambassador Amin noted that 2025 will mark the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Egypt and Venezuela, with plans to celebrate the occasion in both Cairo and Caracas.
Both sides discussed avenues to enhance bilateral relations, particularly through increased trade and reciprocal visits by officials. They emphasized that such visits provide positive momentum for the development of ties between the two countries
