Venezuelan Foreign Minister (FM) Ivan Eduardo Gil said that his country has requested an urgent meeting of the Security Council regarding the attacks, which he described as a flagrant violation of the UN Charter and a threat to international peace and stability.
"We reject the aggression against our country, which is a flagrant violation of the UN Charter," he emphasized.
He added that any attempt to change the ruling regime in Venezuela will fail, just as all previous attempts have failed, noting that US is behind the recent attacks targeting residential neighborhoods and infrastructure.
Moreover, Venezuelan FM said the attacks were a flagrant violation of the UN Charter and threatened international peace and stability, stressing: “We reject the aggression against our country, which is a flagrant violation of the UN Charter.”

Venezuelan FM also explained that the attacks target both civilian and military sites and have struck central Caracas, pointing out that the Venezuelan President has issued a decree declaring a state of emergency in the country.
Furthermore, he emphasized that Venezuela reserves the right to exercise legitimate defense of its people, territory, and sovereignty, as well as its right to exercise legitimate defense of its people, territory, and independence.
