American writer Marian Williamson, who ran for president in 2020, said she would run again for the Democratic Party for president in 2024.
Williamson announced in an interview that she will officially launch her campaign for the US presidential elections on March 4, during an event in Washington, DC.
She said , "The people who run the government are divided into two categories, those who either do not care about reforming it or who do not have the courage to reform it," stressing that "neither of the two categories should run this country."
Williamson's candidacy would put her in a Democratic primary against President Joe Biden, who has not announced his own plans but is widely expected to run for re-election next year.
No other Democrat is officially in the race yet, making Williamson the front-runner in the race for the Democratic nomination.
