US, UK Discuss Gaza Conflict

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and British Foreign Secretary David Cameron discussed the conflict between Israel and Hamas on Tuesday, including the need to improve protection of civilians and deliver humanitarian assistance to civilians in Gaza.

The two sides also discussed the importance of multilateral cooperation to address the threats to global interests posed by the Iran-backed Houthi attacks on commercial shipping in the Red Sea, according to a statement on the U.S. State Department website.

The statement said that the two sides discussed the ongoing efforts between the United States and the United Kingdom to help Ukraine defend itself against Russia.

Moreover, both sides discussed the importance of working together to promote democracy and human rights around the world.

Blinken and Cameron concluded their call by reaffirming their commitment to working together to advance common interests and promote peace and security around the world.
