Regional Spokesman for the US State Department Samuel Werberg hailed the Egyptian role in the talks and negotiations of the humanitarian truce in Gaza and the hostage release deal between Hamas and Israel.
Werberg expressed his hopes for the release of all hostages in Gaza, asserting Washington's welcome for expanding the truce in Gaza for a couple of days.
He added in statements for the Cairo News about the presence of some American citizens in Gaza, pointing out that the truce helped in freeing some captured, and the entry of humanitarian aid to Gaza.
In addition, he called for making use of the truce to deliver the largest amounts of humanitarian aid to the strip.
