The United States denounced Russian President Vladimir Putin's warnings about the danger of nuclear war, describing them as "irresponsible."
US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said in statements reported by the Al-Hurra American channel on Thursday evening that there is no indication of an imminent threat regarding the risk of a nuclear war.
He added that this is not the first time "we have seen an irresponsible speech from Vladimir Putin." He continued, saying, "The leader of a nuclear-armed country cannot speak in this way," he said.
