The US has put forward a 15-point proposal aimed at securing a temporary ceasefire in the ongoing conflict with Iran, according to Xinhua news agency.

The plan, reportedly delivered through intermediaries, outlines a one-month truce alongside a broader framework to end hostilities between the US, Israel, and Iran. It includes a 30-day pause in fighting to allow negotiations on a long-term agreement.

Under the proposal, Iran would be required to dismantle its nuclear program, halt uranium enrichment, and commit permanently to abandoning nuclear weapons. Additional conditions include ending support for allied armed groups, limiting missile production, and ensuring the Strait of Hormuz remains open to international shipping.

In return, Washington is offering full sanctions relief, support for a civilian nuclear energy program, and the removal of mechanisms that could trigger the reimposition of international sanctions.

The White House indicated that while parts of the reported plan are accurate, some details remain unclear and have not been officially confirmed.

Iran has reportedly reviewed the proposal and considers it excessive, signaling that it will continue military operations until its own conditions are met.

Israel has not formally commented on the plan, but officials maintain that military operations against Iran are ongoing.

International reactions remain mixed, with Germany welcoming diplomatic efforts and urging negotiations, while the United Nations has called for an immediate end to the conflict and warned of worsening humanitarian and economic consequences.

The proposal comes amid escalating tensions following weeks of military exchanges between Iran, the US, and Israel, raising concerns over regional stability and global energy markets.
