The United States Department of State announced a reward of up to $10 million for information related to Mojtaba Khamenei, Iran’s newly declared Supreme Leader, along with several senior officials of the Islamic Republic.
According to an official statement published by the department, the Rewards for Justice Program is offering the reward for information about key leaders within the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and affiliated structures.
In addition to Mojtaba Khamenei, the list includes Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council; Ali Asghar Hejazi, deputy chief of staff for security affairs in the leader’s office; military adviser Yahya Rahim Safavi; Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni; and Intelligence Minister Esmail Khatib.
The announcement comes as the United States and Israel continue a broad military campaign against Iran, which began on February 28, with ongoing exchanges of missile and drone strikes and rising tensions across the region.
