The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that a seventh American soldier has died from injuries sustained during ongoing military operations against Iran.
According to a statement released by the U.S. military, the soldier died overnight after suffering wounds during the initial wave of Iranian attacks targeting American forces in the region.
Officials said the soldier had been injured at a location where U.S. troops were stationed in Saudi Arabia, during an attack that occurred on March 1. The service member later succumbed to those injuries.
CENTCOM confirmed that this marks the seventh U.S. soldier killed in combat operations linked to Operation Epic Fury, the military campaign currently underway amid escalating confrontation between the United States and Iran.
