The "Wall Street Journal- WSJ" revealed that the US military is asking President Joe Biden to deploy several hundred special forces in Somalia to quell the spread of the Somali Youth Movement.

It is worth noting that former US President Donald Trump announced, at the end of his presidency of the United States of  America (USA), the withdrawal of about 700 American soldiers from Somali bases, who worked to train elite units of the local army.

A senior US intelligence official told the newspaper, "Since the US military began withdrawing from Somalia last January, we estimate that there has been an increase in al-Shabab activity, as there is no pressure on them now and they have freedom of movement."

The US military demands Biden to redeploy the forces currently stationed in Kenya and Djibouti in Somalia.

In 2019, the  Somali group announced that it would attack American civilians like the US military.
