A US American medical center announced that its scientists produced a new nasal spray for the prevention and treatment of the Coronavirus (known also as COVID-19).
The Northwestern Medical Center, according to the American (Al-Hurra) channel reported today, Saturday, that in partnership with the University of Washington, giant computers were used for the first time to produce a new nasal spray and achieved promising results in combating the virus.
The center indicated that by the end of this year, clinical trials of the nasal spray may begin, explaining that multiple tests conducted on experimental mice showed that the developed nasal spray outperformed many current anti-therapies.
The center revealed that the results also showed that this spray maintained its effectiveness for a longer period and also reduced the general level of infection.
It noted that the proposed spray is characterized by its low cost and easy transportation.
