The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) extended on Tuesday restrictions on US commercial flights over Iraq for three more years, citing risks.

The restrictions also apply to foreign companies that operate joint flights with US airlines.
Last month, the US Department of Transportation imposed a $250,000 fine on Air Canada for operating flights in 2022 and 2023 in restricted Iraqi airspace.
