US Deploys Unmanned Boats Against Iran

The US Department of Defense (Pentagon) has announced that the US has deployed unmanned fast boats to conduct patrols as part of its operations targeting Iran, marking the first time Washington has confirmed the use of such vessels in an ongoing conflict.

Iran has used maritime drones to attack oil tankers in the Gulf at least twice since the US and Israel began their airstrikes about a month ago. There have been no indications that the US has used unmanned vessels in attacks.
