US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that the United States will continue to support Taiwan if China attacks.

In response to whether the United States will support Taiwan in the military if China attacked it, Blinken confirmed during an interview with “PBS” that the country supports Taiwan militarily and will continue.

He noted that the United States “adheres to the one-China policy”, and at the same time, the state is committed to fulfilling its obligations under the Taiwan Relation Act.

"Washington should be confident that the Asian country has the means to ensure its safety and to deter any aggression," Blinken added.

The US secretary highlighted that the United States is determined to guarantee that no one tries to unilaterally change the status quo in the Taiwan issue.

"Over the past 10 years, Blinken has seen that China has become more repressive inside its borders and more aggressive outside, including actions it has taken against Taiwan that are potentially dangerous and destabilizing," Blinken continued.

Currently, there is tension across the Taiwan Strait, as the authorities in the Asian country keep pushing for the independence agenda by soliciting US support, and some in the United States attempt to use Taiwan to contain China. The two sides have been colluding with each other.
