Admiral Brad Cooper, Commander of the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), arrived in Israel today, Saturday, to meet with senior security officials, according to the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth.
In a related development, Israel’s Channel 12 reported last night that White House Advisor Jared Kushner and U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff are also scheduled to arrive in Israel today for talks with Prime Minister (PM) Benjamin Netanyahu.
Witkoff and Kushner are expected to discuss the situation in Gaza with the Israeli side, focusing on efforts to secure the return of the body of the last hostage in Gaza, Ran Gvili, in addition to potential discussions regarding Iran.
