Unstable Weather Hits Egypt on Friday

Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicted that the country will witness unstable weather, accompanied by rain and wind activity, during Friday's daylight hours.

Moderately warm weather is expected to prevail in most parts of the country during the daylight hours. Hot weather is also expected to hit South Upper Egypt.

Dusty winds occasionally occur across the country.

Light rainfall will prevail the Northeastern Coast and South Lower Egypt.

Light to moderate rain, sometimes thunderous, is also forecast to hit the Northwest Coast and the North Lower Egypt.

Furthermore, maritime navigation is also expected to be disrupted in the shores of El Salloum, Marsa Matruh, El-Alamein, Alexandria, Beheira, Kafr El Sheikh, Damietta, Port Said, Arish, and Rafah, with winds averaging 50 to 60 km/h and waves ranging between 2.5:3.5 meters.

Maritime navigation will be disrupted in the Gulf of Aqaba and the Gulf of Suez, with winds averaging 50 to 60 km/h and waves ranging between 2.5: 4 meters.

Moreover, the Mediterranean Sea will experience moderate to turbulent waves ranging between 2 and 3 meters in height with northwest surface winds.

Waves in the Red Sea will be moderate to turbulent, ranging between 1.5 and 2.5 meters in height with northeast surface winds.

Moderately cold weather is also expected to prevail in Egypt, at night time.

There is a 20% chance of light rainfall prevailing in Cairo.

The predicted temperatures for the following cities are 27°C in Cairo, 20°C in Alexandria, 21°C in Marsa Matruh, 30°C in Sohag, 31°C in Qena, and 31°C in Aswan.
