The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) confirmed that new Israeli restrictions on international non-governmental organizations are further undermining humanitarian work in Gaza, according to a breaking news report by Al Qahera News Channel.
Ajith Sanjay, Head of OHCHR Office in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, said that Israel’s prevention of 37 international aid organizations from entering the Gaza Strip since January 2025 will have dire humanitarian consequences on the already deteriorating situation in the Strip.
Sanjay explained that this decision would have "devastating" consequences, noting that humanitarian organizations are only able to deliver a very small fraction of the aid they have, despite spending millions of dollars on it.
