On Monday, UNICEF reiterated its appeale for a lasting ceasefire to be implemented in Gaza.
In a post on X, UNICEF said that it continues to call for a humanitarian ceasefire and sustained and unimpeded access for humanitarian assistance.
UNICEF also shared a story of hope of 12-year-old Salem from Gaza, who said: “I miss life before the war, when I would go to school and meet my friends, and when I would play football in the neighborhood.”
Earlier, UNICEF Spokesperson James Elder said: “The Gaza Strip is the most dangerous place in the world to be a child. And day after day, that brutal reality is reinforced.”
