The Cairo Opera House started its annual summer program of 2019; it includes 'Underground' stars in Egypt for the first time. It aims to attract the attention of the youth to the Opera House performances.
The minister of Culture Inas Abdel-Dayem took this new step which will drive enhance competition between parallel cultural institutions in Egypt. This has succeeded for years to appease the tastes of the Egyptian youth. The first concert- "Massar Agbary" last Wednesday was an overwhelming success in the presence of Dr. Abdel Dayem. The number of fans reached 25,000.
'Massar Egbary' is one of the most famous bands in Egypt; it serves a new genre of music that expresses the youth with the lyrics that resonate with their ideology and way of living. It also combines jazz and oriental type of music.
The program includes also a number of other surprises as follows...
(Saturday) 15-6: The Opera House hosts 'West El-Balad', one of the oldest Underground bands that began in 1999 and became famous for the music they serve like 'Antika', 'Qul lel Maliha.'
(Sunday) 16-6: 'Takseer Sharqie' band, a group of musicians combining Western and Eastern instruments, will present distinctive genre of Egyptian folklore, such as the old wedding songs, the 'zar', the art of 'Mawal'.

It will feature the participation of one of the ZAR's singers-"Rayesa" in order to preserve this type and the Egyptian transition to new generations.
(Monday) 17-6 : 'Hesham Kharma', a composer, distributor and pianist known for his musical pieces called "The Instrumental Music", has four albums, the latest of which was the recently released album "Yakon" by Sony Music. He also participates in the Arabesque concert with the international artisit 'Yanni'. Early this year, also he participated in a presentation during the celebrations of the organization of Egypt to the African Nations Cup under the pyramids, and one of the most famous musical pieces collaborated with the great vocalist Ahmed al-Tony" Ahl El-Karam".
(Tuesday), 18 -6 : 'Carmen Soliman', a young Egyptian singer who caught the eye of her voice in the Arab Idol shows, which won the title in her first season in Arabic in 2012, also released one album entitled "Akhbari".
(Wednesday) 19-6: The artist 'Mohamed Al-Sharnoubi', a young singer and actor, was able, within three years, to gain the love of the fans, especially after the participating with top singers like 'Asala'. He recently released his first album entitled " El-Nafsya" also launched a special song to host Egypt to the African Nations Cup entitled "Encouraging Egypt"
(Thursday)20-6: 'Nesma Mahgoub' , a young singer who became famous after winning the title Star Academy eighth edition, and then staged the musical version of the Egyptian version of the "the Miserable"Al-Boa'asaa" as well as concerts in Opera House, cultural centers and the American University Theater. She also owns her own band "Life Will not End".
