Claudia Rosbach, Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and Executive Director of the United Nations Human Settlements Organization, stressed that financing urban cities is very complex, especially in light of the development of these cities and their further development in the future.
She added that there is a population boom and an urban boom as well, and we must think about social, environmental and urban planning assets.
She stressed that cities have the ability to attract private, governmental and international investments, and urban planning is one of the most important issues related to financing, and many countries have this strategy for partnerships, but there is still a lack of social infrastructure.
She said that Egypt has a lot of experience and can share this experience with the world in this field, noting that regarding how to improve infrastructure in slums, there is usually a problem with land ownership in these slums, and the second challenge is investment coordination, so we can work with governments to support infrastructure
