Olga Chrevko, UN spokesperson for humanitarian affairs in Gaza, has called for urgent protection for civilians, particularly those working in the humanitarian sector.
During a phone interview with Cairo News Channel, Chrevko emphasized the need to open border crossings and work towards a ceasefire. She highlighted that fuel shortages are severely impacting hospital operations and ambulance services, alongside a critical lack of essential supplies and food.
She further stated that the medical sector in Gaza has significantly deteriorated due to the ongoing war and affirmed that the UN is making every effort to deliver humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza.
