The United Nations has announced a $100 million aid package to help Ukraine prepare for the upcoming winter, as stated by the office of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Tuesday.
President Zelensky met with UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi during Grandi's fifth visit to Ukraine since the onset of the crisis.
In a statement, President Zelensky expressed gratitude for the new aid package: "We appreciate today's announcement of a new $100 million aid package from the UNHCR to prepare Ukraine for the winter. This is a very important assistance."
As Ukraine braces for the harsh winter months, the aid package is expected to provide critical support to the country’s infrastructure and humanitarian needs.
