UN Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs in the Occupied Palestinian Territory Muhannad Hadi said that the Israeli occupation is intensifying pressure on nearly 400,000 people in the northern Gaza Strip, compelling them to relocate to the south.
He strongly condemned the military siege imposed by the occupying forces, which is depriving civilians of basic necessities.
In a statement issued on Monday, Hadi said that since October 1st, Israeli authorities have been increasingly restricting access to essential supplies in northern Gaza.
"The closure of the Erez (Beit Hanoun) and Western Erez crossings has prevented the entry of necessary materials from the southern Gaza Strip."
Hadi noted that the Israeli army issued three new orders on October 7, 9, and 12, instructing people to leave. He further mentioned that the ongoing fighting has also led to increased civilian suffering and a high number of casualties.
