UK's King Charles III to Visit France Next Month

UK's King Charles III is planning to head to France next month to attend the ceremonies of the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings.

King Charles III and Queen Camilla are expected to attend a ceremony at the British Normandy Memorial at Ver-sur-Mer on June 6, Buckingham Palace said on Friday. 

It is expected that The Prince of Wales, Prince William, will attend the international ceremony at Omaha Beach near Saint-Laurent-sur-Mer, joining heads of state and veterans from around the world.

The First in the line of the throne will also attend the Juno Beach Centre in Courseulles-sur-Mer in Canada. 

King Charles III made a careful return to public engagements after being sidelined for three months due to his cancer diagnosis. 

In the same context, the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, will not participate in any public duties, continue her absence from public eye since announcing her cancer diagnosis and treatment.
