Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed with Lithuanian Defense Minister Arvydas Anušauskas ways to strengthen defense cooperation between the two countries.
Zelensky said in a Facebook post, according to Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform on Friday, "We discussed further defense cooperation between Ukraine and Lithuania. We are working to provide armored medical evacuation vehicles to forces on the front lines."
The Ukrainian president thanked the Lithuanian side for the significant support it has already provided.
Zelenskyy also stressed that this support "includes weapons, political support, and real societal support in Lithuania for Ukraine and Ukrainians."
The Ukrainian president also praised Lithuania for its "significant support," which includes military and humanitarian aid, as well as its support for the Crimea platform and for Ukraine's efforts at the United Nations.
"In all places where we need help and support from our allies, we see Lithuania among our friends," Zelensky added.
