The British authorities handed over to the Ukrainian side Brimstone-2 high-precision missiles, according to the Telegraph newspaper.

These missiles are laser-guided, and their launch range is twice that of the previous series.

The newspaper reported that the UK sent to Ukraine about six months ago, self-guided Brimstone-1 "air-to-ground" missiles.

The paper noted that these missiles are usually fired from the air, but the Ukrainian forces have equipped trucks and converted them into launchers.

The number of Brimstone-2 missiles that have been delivered to Ukraine so far has not been disclosed.

It is worth noting that the Brimstone-2 missiles entered service with the British Royal Air Force in 2016.

Brimstone missiles, which means "sulfur" in Arabic, were originally designed to be anti-armor missiles, and over time have evolved to be able to destroy a wide range of targets.

These missiles were designed by the "MBDA" company, which is a weapon manufacturing company in which several European countries participate, and the British branch of the company took over the development and production of these missiles.

Earlier, the British Ministry of Defense announced that it would soon complete the delivery of about a thousand anti-aircraft missiles to Ukraine.

The ministry pointed out that the UK will deliver launch pads to Ukraine with missiles capable of shooting down targets in the air, including drones and cruise missiles.
